Just received a form from the council for the Electoral Roll. " Delivered by Royal Mail "
While on my duty yesterday spoke to a council employee who took a day off work to deliver said letters. He told me he was being paid 20 pence per letter!!!!!
Beats our door to door payment hands down. How the **** do they get away with it?

Perhaps that's all he was getting paid as he took a day off to deliver them. Whilst we deliver d2d during our paid hours.

Because local authorities, like the Civil Service, get loads of tax payers money whether they spend it efficiently or not.

we would get something for elections paper though but not sure what we will get paid for though.
