End of D2D

There's a very strong rumour going around thats not being denied by senior union reps here that Royal Mail is about to throw the towel in RE: D2D as they just aren't profitable.
Yes, some people are getting hammered but the country taken as a whole and its just not profitable (enough?)

I'm wondering if this is Royal Mails take on re-negotiating our Delivery Supplement i.e dump all D2D's for 6 months and our DS payment. Then start them up again but with the old style 0.04p each etc and those that don't get any don't get any D2D pay.

To be honest I mostly get 0 D2D/week. If I get 1 its bugger, 2 and they're trying to kill me!

Anyone know if theres any substance to this rumour?

Not heard that one and don't think it will happen plus we have been told time and again that the Delivery Supplement has nothing to do with D2Ds

Could someone explain how much posties are paid for these? Ive done them for two years on OT delivery and never noticed any change of wage

I've noticed a massive drop in them lately though, usually 1 or 2 lots at the most and we can go 3 or 4 weeks with none

Also, seems to be the same stuff all of the time (Dominos, Farm Foods and Sky)

delivery supplement is for working in a delivery office and has nothing to do with D2D

we do not get paid for D2D anymore

I was told that in November on my Together For Growth programme.

D2D are the future and won't be going anywhere soon.
