SUCCESFUL SELF HELP GUIDE FOR NEW DELIVERY METHODS REVISION

Post by parcelpete »

Hi Guy's N Gal's,
Would just like to share my stress-free 6 step self help guide for you, to the New Delivery Methods Way Of Working.

Step 1. Arrive to work at your correct start time. :wave

Step 2. Prep your door to door items in works time (DO NOT TAKE THEM HOME TO PREP) Remember if the planner has done his/her job properly there WILL be enough time factored in for preping up to 10 items.???????????

Step 3. Take your PAID for meal breaks. :cuppa

Step 4. Use your LWT if you have been provided with one. :thumbup

Step 5. Finish your duty on time. :dance

Step 6. And finally before you leave the delivery office, knock on the DIMS door...SMile & wish HIM/HER a very pleasant evening (PROVIDING OF COURSE THEY HAVE NOT ALREADY GOTTEN THEMSELVES OFF HOME)!!!! :wave

P.S.
For collegues rushing around like headless chickens finishing upto an hour before duty ends... Word in the office is the dreaded ABSORBTION WILL RETURN & you will only have yourselves to blame :no no

HAPPY POSTING GUY'S N GAL'S :Very Happy :Very Happy :Very Happy .

Unfortunately your whole plan falls apart at point 2. In all my experience I have yet to see a revision completed successfully,or a planner do their job properly ,either because :
1 the planner has no delivery experience at all
2 they completely ignore the points of those of us who do have experience and do the job day in day out
3 or ,they are completely and utterly out of their depth and are as much use as a brick to a drowning man.

That's all very commendable.
The problems begin when you do all that and still finish an hour early.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

If your revision is based on a high model week to protect full time employment and you then lose a massive amount of mail when TNT appears on your streets or Amazon decide to deliver their own packets, then not only do you have less indoor work but also less outdoor work.
Or if you are lucky to average 1 D2D contract/week.

All this "Do the Job Properly" is very good and I support it 100% but the only thing that will save jobs is work.

And while some areas will never see this sort of competition, they probably work in an area that has historically ben subsidised by those areas now seeing the biggest drop in traffic.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

It could be. But even if it is whats the problem, one of the things we recommend is not being specific on details and using obfuscation to hide your real world identity - if that was their intention you may have ruined it. :Very Happy
