Has anyone heard that if you take your VR can you apply to have some of your payment deferred for a few weeks to get into April to miss paying 40 p/c tax have been told you can't because it's tax avoidance just wondered if this is true .

There's a big difference between tax avoidance & tax evasion, one is legally minimising the tax you are obliged to pay, the other is illegal

I thought it was tax free? What the hell are you earning,any chance of a loan?

The first £30,000 of a redundancy payment is tax free. I was redundant from my last job before joining RM.
