Basically sat dom told everybody from tomorrow you don't allow to start before your time . Is this nationwide or just our office. By the way runners are not happy.

Be interesting to see the results K. You'll probably find as soon as Posties start cutting off and finishing at their correct time (usually for picking the kids up or taking the missus to work type scenarios) he'll change his tune.

In my experience DOMs normally only go down this route when loads of Posties "Appear" to be finishing before their time, (but only because they've come in early) and are in fact doing the correct amount of hours. I've never had a problem with someone coming in an hour early and finishing an hour early. Often it really helps on your delivery if you can avoid the Rush Hour Traffic or the School Run. One of our duties delivers to loads of shops.....if he can get there before they're open the mail goes through the letter box...if they're open he has to walk into the shops and deliver to the counter... takes quite a bit longer! Surprisingly enough most of us Posties do actually know a bit about delivering mail.......Unlike most managers!

This is national!! H&S have been visiting offices to make sure meal reliefs are taken and EVERY ONE starts at the time they are supposed to. The union and H&S also demand that job and finish means that you finish at the delivery office. Sign out /off.
Union Will state that it secures jobs whilst RM will know EXACTLY when you are finished. Hence more and more lapsing. It's the future.
And expect the mail is dying away its frightening speech.

I only just make it for my starting time of 7:40am, never mind coming in early
