(1) Last round cul was on non.operational managers ... but this time delivery and processing line managers ?
(2) Processing staff where packet sorting machines are coming ?
(3) Delivery staff where TNT has started their delivery work ?

I thought each unit had been given a percentage to cut costs. It was about 4% or 5%, just a random number with no statistics behind it. The local management put forward their proposals and then the union say whether it can go ahead. The union could allow all voluntary redundancies/retirements to go ahead or say the numbers must be less or none. I don't think that any managers will go this year. I believe that Royal Mail are now down to the managers who don't want to leave and therefore unite may put up a fight. In the increasingly weird Bristol Mail Centre they want 50 redundancies before the end of the year.

I'm all up for the planners to go, I'm sure they were all heavily dependent on drugs while planning our unrealistic daily 318 workloads.

But surely Bristol have been failing ( since Gloucester closed ). Quite how that'll change with 50 fewer staff only Royal Mail know ( not ). As you say, increasingly weird !

When are the redundancys going to happen in bristol have heard it's collection staff so work is being transferred to delivery office staff
