anyone supporting TTIP so basically any Political party that is financed by any Major Pharmaceutical Company, Private Medical Insurers, Private Medical firm and Manufacturers that will benefit from part of the NHS being sold off.

Oh and of course Large Law firms that specialise in Medical Malpractice, Company Law, Trademark Law and Patent matters as well.

1 The NHS

Public services, especially the NHS, are in the firing line. One of the main aims of TTIP is to open up Europe’s public health, education and water services to US companies. This could essentially mean the privatisation of the NHS.

The European Commission has claimed that public services will be kept out of TTIP. However, according to the Huffington Post, the UK Trade Minister Lord Livingston has admitted that talks about the NHS were still on the table.

There's two sides to this. My missus works in the sector and tells me the waste and inefficiency are colossal. It seems to remain the same however much cash is thrown at it. People always forget too that many standard NHS operations are farmed out to private hospitals anyway nowadays as it's cheaper to do so, or waiting for the NHS to have a slot available means Trusts fail their targets of X-weeks for the patient's waiting time. Private insurance companies also pay NHS doctors/hospitals for operations too. What we all moan about regarding bad management at RM applies ten-fold to the NHS.
What we need to do is retain state-control but have tax breaks for private health care subs, so we all use the NHS as now for emergencies and first-call, but take the strain off should we have private subs and need subsequent treatment. We don't want a US-style system, but the cost as things are is unsustainable for any party who is elected.

Ha, a system, or partial system that is dependant on your ability to afford the premiums. Any incoming government should make it a priority to get all the tax in that is owed by businesses and those individuals who don,t or wont pay their fair dues. The national debt could probably be cleared within a year.

don't worry it wont get privatized ,, the latest polls in Scotland have the SNP taking 50 seats in May , traditionally they don't vote on any legislation that doesn't affect Scotland ,, the tories are slowly trying to privatize the health service in england ,,this means less spending on health in England and this will have a knock on effect to Scotland's money for there health services,, so the SNP WILL vote on debates concerning the Health Service to try and save it

Many services within the NHS are already privatised and not just by the Tories. However it is common knowledge that many Tory MPs are deeply involved with some of the companies that already provide services to the NHS or would very much like to. In 5 years of Tory control we have seen the way they have disastrously tried to change the NHS on top of Labour cock ups where they spent billions modernising hospitals using private companies and then paying enormous rents to lease back the buildings over many years.
The NHS is not really safe in any of the major party,s hands. Only some form of future socialist government will truly bring the NHS back in the control of the public purse. Probably wont see that in my lifetime but lets hope their is a brighter future ahead for the younger residents of this country.

Dozens and dozens of the Tory MPs and Lords who voted in favour of the privatisation of the NHS had clear vested financial interests in private health corporations. Here is a detailed list of some of those politicians who look set to benefit from the NHS privatisation bill they voted for.

One of the most notable examples is Lazy Lord Coe, who barely ever turns up to vote in the House of Lords (he voted in just 7.9% of debates between 2000 and 2013). However when the opportunity to benefit his numerous private health interests (PruHealth, AMT Sybex, Chime Communications) presented itself, he was amongst many Tory lords with financial interests in the private health sector to make rare appearances in the House of Lords and vote in favour of greater NHS privatisation.

Circle Health, which is 29.2% owned by a hedge fund run by major Tory party donor Paul Ruddock has been handed over £1.3 billion in NHS contracts. Other Tory party donors with major investments in Circle Health include Martyn Arbib, Crispin Odey and Michael Platt.

Care UK has received over £100 million in NHS contracts. Their chairman is John Nash who has made £247,250 worth of donations to the Tory party. Aside from his company picking up huge NHS contract as a result of Tory party legislation, he has also been handed a seat in the unelected House of Lords.
