Will we get a pay rise in April or is inflation too low?

2.8% base pay increase. Subject to review, if inflation is below 2.3% or above 3.3%.

Isn't inflation under 1% at present?

RPI for jan is to be published on the 21st/1/15.
Dec RPI avg was 2.5.

Thought it was based on Septembers CPI which was 1.2% so will we get the 2.8% or not in April 2015? RPI was 2.3% but royalmail did raise it's prices by 3.75% http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/pr ... es-3009375" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

mentioned this to a finance director and he informed me that this pay rise had already been worked into next years budgets. They work on the assumption that any pay rise is self funded hence the yearly budget battles we have at local level.
