What happens in your delivery office when you have a defect on your van? are you expected to take it to the workshop even though it maybe illegal to drive ie like only one brake light working or no wing mirrors for example.

How can you lose both wing mirrors? Anyway if you are in the beleaf it is illegal / unsafe to drive you need to make that judgement weather it's at the office or on the road and refuse to drive it! Just make sure you do you can check because if it was there before you left the office people will ask questions.

If the van is defective then refuse to drive it. Its up to the managers to have it recovered to the workshop.

If you drive it and then have an accident no one will back you up.

If the problem is minor, eg not dangerous, then it would be acceptable to drive the vehicle for repair. That's what the police do for minor defects, they give you a notice to get the problems rectified. If the problem is dangerous then no it is then illegal and must not be driven: Road traffic act 198

If you drive it with the defect you are the one who will get points for it if it's illegal to drive, other People ie DOM may get points too depending on situation but the driver defiantly will if the police decide to charge him.

No dom in his right mind will ask you to drive something if you say it's illegal and then ask him to put it in writing that he wants you to drive it

Van at out office has been a scrapper for years now and nothing has been done. Im not exagerating when I say it is a complete mess, side door doesnt work, needs jumping every time to start, Wing mirrors both cracked, Dents all over it

Well we all know what should be done and what is done are worlds apart,fact!! We lost our spare van in the event of defects,what we out up with is a joke,simply defect it and dont use it,its uo to them to manage it etc thats there job.but we all wont a hassle free life etc and want to get done and go home,

"wing mirrors" wtf are you a driving a morris minor or mini van, wing mirrors were called wing mirrors because they are mounted on the wings.
todays vehicles have "door mirrors.
