Working longer than a 39 hour week

In our office, the hours for full time delivery staff are 7:30-15:00 on Monday and Tuesday and 7:00-15:00 Wednesday through to Saturday..
So if you're on a rotating day off, and it falls on a Monday or Tuesday, you are working a 39 and a half hour week. Working 1 hour extra every 6 weeks.
Management have said it evens itself out but it clearly doesn't!

Adding the six days totals 47 hours which multiplied by five-sixths makes an average week of 39 hours 10 minutes, so yes you will be working slightly more than a 39 hour week unless you finish a tad early on Tuesday.

its happened as your dom has just taken off the 1 hour reduction from monday and tuesday rather than spreading it and reducing by 12 min a day, get your rep to lodge a stage 1 disagreement over it asap, also you should be entitled to back pay over the extra hours worked

By my calculations you are Working an hour too much over a six week rotation.. You need to get this looked at asap

the FT reserves could be even worse off if they hardly ever get a monday or tuesday off they could be owed upto 3 hours every 6 weeks depending on shifts worked

I think you meant the opposite... That is, if they get a disproportionate number of Mondays and Tuesdays off. I know! It happens to me. I end of working more hours than most others in my office as a Reserve that often get shafted with Tuesdays Off... (sometimes 3 out of 4 weeks or 6wks)

Guess what day I have off next week? I will be posting around 10am that day -

If they start claiming the payment for their Bank Holiday instead of taking the day in lieu, I'm sure management will be less keen on giving them the Bank Holiday as their day off.
There is no separate Xmas Bank Holiday agreement. The agreement applies to all Bank Holidays.
If you want it, you may have to argue for it.

In our DO the Rep got management to see this issue, and as a result all reserves work a fixed 7:48 day = 39 hours a week

The idea that anyone in Delivery can specify the exact number of hours they are working or have to work is a bit of a fantasy. (reference to working 7.48 hours...)

This can only work in a Mail Centre or in an office where you are only allowed to start at and finish on your contractual times...

* The same thing applies to the idea that they give you an extra 30 minutes (for going over) to be used on another day; ie banking hours. Like I said, this Standard in Mail Centres or MDECs but Delivery Offices; I doubt it.
** I suppose they can give a FT staff less Indoor Work but that will mean starting later but people come in early anyway...
