Iain Duncan Smith presents colleague with long-service award

Management at Chingford delivery office in London have expressed their gratitude to Iain Duncan Smith MP for presenting a much-valued colleague with a 40 years’ service award.

Mr Duncan Smith paid a visit to the delivery office last year to wish all staff a happy Christmas, and thanked them for their hard work over the festive period.

He also took time to present postman Robert Jackson with his 40 years’ long service award.

Mr Duncan Smith said: ‘It was great to meet postmen and women at Royal Mail’s Chingford delivery office. Our postal workers do such an important job, I would like to thank them for their efforts.’

Issa Abdi, DOM at Chingford, said: ‘Our postmen and women are working extremely hard to deliver letters and parcels to people across Chingford. We are grateful that Iain visited the office to see our operation and to support the team.’
