Got my letter from Billy today and I wholeheartedly agree with him on the 2015 election but it turns out the letter was delivered by a Whistl Postie. So even our union don't trust RM to deliver their mail.

It is time to stop CWU MEMBERSHIP FEE £192 FOR A YEAR. CWU and Royal Mail's officers hand is one when Honest employee trapped and CWU will not help Employee

If that is true then its an absolute disgrace. I sometimes wonder what really is going on behind the scene's.......... we accept mail from whistl that they cant be bothered to deliver and they have put a sticker over their original postage and then it hits our system in one big lump like this week on a Saturday. Now this if it is true the union is giving work to our competitor :arrrghhh

One day Whistl employees will be members of the CWU and then you will find that the union will be playing you off against each other - pretty much as RM do now !!!

The disgrace is they can do this, undercut us, give it to us to deliver at a loss and still make a profit on it.

I'm sure there must be some who get value for money from the CWU. Personally The only time I've seen a rep is when he was coming around the office telling everyone they should be supporting creating more full time posts. When I pointed out to qualify for working mans tax credits you need 24 hrs what about all the people on less. He said one day they might get to be full time. Says it all really. Only stay in the union Cause the managers are twats and I might need legal support.
