got told we are eventually getting our annual leave dates next week,

3 only months behind

all free child places gone and most places have to pay full adult price for an 8 year old,

Got told they are not sure who is sorting out our A/L for 2015/16 yet !! All we can do is give some dates to the paperwork postie who usually does it and wait. Did I read somewhere that the `Way Forward` agreement is to get it all sorted by the end of previous October ?

yip supposed to be done by october,

this is the latest weve had them in the 16 year iv worked for the company

The Way Forward Agreement only says 'The selection process should be complete by the end of the preceding October each year.'
That leaves it open to interpretation. At Mount Pleasant mc we sometimes got our AL forms returned with the summer allocation in January, February or March. One year we only got them back in April after the summer leave period had already started.

Seems to be the way with a lot of the so called "agreements". Royal mail have a get out clause which allows them to do exactly as they please.

Or maybe I'm just being over cynical..

yes SHOULD be done by October, so it wouldn't be unreasonable to give them a couple of weeks to finish it off, however 3 months is unrealistic and lazy so it now doesn't seem unrealistic to book your A/L at the begining of December and tell them that's when you're takning it.
