duty out of town

Just a quick question and thanks in advance....as a leave reserve if i was asked/told to goto a different city to do a duty if there wasnt any work for me in my surrounding area, would i have to go?

Within reason, yes, its in all our contracts.

Well if they are stupid enough to do that you wouldn't get much delivered in your own time. If you read the thread I pointed to, you start and finish at your office and they provide the transport.

Even on a 8 hour day thats a lot of time wasted

Hull Grimsby - 40 - 60 minutes each way. 2 hours not delivering
Hull Lincoln - 60 - 75 minutes each way 2.5 hours not delivering.

Doncaster - Sheffield - 30 - 45 minutes - 1.5 hours
Doncaster Leeds - 45 - 60 minutes - 2 hours.

However, a decent rep or manager wouldn't consider them local, neighbouring postcode areas makes more sense.
