with you over Christmas , one floor meeting 1 1/2 weeks ago where we where told it was going to be very busy and we would need to pull our socks up , the rest by white board saying the results of how many parcels we cleared and brought back.
although a tin of choc's turned up sealed on the ips after we had finished so no one noticed, which I noticed empty in their office when I got back still happy Christmas to all , excepting management of course
Our new DOM was good this year. Was on the floor until we left the office. Always walking round seeing how you got on and even got some mince/apple/cherry pies on the 23rd.
Made a difference from last year when if i hadn't known better i would have said he was on holiday
We had 3 tubs of chocolates doughnuts and mince pies plus a prize draw with 5 winners but even better it was one of the line managers last day on xmas eve.
Not a word from the Dom ... He eat a box of chocs then left the rest that he didn't like on ips .. Then sneaked out the door without a word of thanks to the workers... Think managers hacked off as many of the staff cut off this year due to the harassment of lapsing throughout the year.

Same here. Not a word of thanks. Came back after delivery, his door shut. Just took 739's into locker and went home. Not a visit from anyone above dom this year, not a mince pie or well done for your efforts. What a lovely caring company we work for. Happy xmas to all. Never mind, the next edition of the Courier will put a gloss on everything so that will make us feel valued.

A tin of biccies that a retired mate sent in, not even a thank you from the office manager. I can feel a I'm finishing on time on Saturday moment coming on.
Nothing from our DOM. LM did say thanks for your hard work this year then proceeded to say be careful out on delivery, don't have any accidents because I'm going home at 10am.
So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet
Keep on shuf-shuf-shuffling to this ghost dance beat
Just keep on walking down never ending streets
Grunt, scratch of his arse, some veiled threats to a couple of people who wanted to cut off, and then out of the building on xmas eve 5 minutes after the D.S.M had disappeared along with the World Class Fail lot.
Just a normal week really.
Royal Mail managers.....about as popular as a t.urd in a swimming pool!
