Christmas Eve/Christmas/Boxing day sa payments?

In our office we do collections on a rotating basis. Our dom has rotated the names past the above dates. I was under the impression that sa payments should be made if your sa fell on a bank holiday. By skipping them no one will be getting a payment. Anyone know what should be correct process?

Oh well worth a try. Is it because we rotate the sa duties? Because I thought there was a bank holiday payment?

What do you mean by skipping them?

If you are due to perform an SA on any of the bank holidays, you should receive an SA holiday payment.

Also, ANY SA paid overtime earned in the four weeks prior to the bank holidays has to be calculated as an average daily amount and paid on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day.

Having fun at the moment trying to get my DOM to understand the Xmas arrangements. He doesn't seem very keen to pay the average of the previous 4 weeks SA this week and next week :) Hopefully the DSM will put him right!

christmas day and boxing day are holidays so surely should be paid in the new holiday sa agreement

It would seem that a large number of units haven't applied this years agreement on SA payments for xmas.

6 Scheduled Attendances on Leave/Bank Holidays Royal Mail and CWU have further discussed Scheduled Attendance holiday pay and recognise the significant contribution Christmas Pressure SA has traditionally made to the levels of payment. As such to ensure that this contribution is not lost under the new arrangements, SA holiday pay for the Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and New Year’s Day (plus 2 January in Scotland) bank holidays will be calculated by taking the average daily amount of SA worked by each individual in the 4 weeks prior to the bank holiday.
