Xmas pressure

Post by knoxycube »

This year I got to choose 12 hour nightshift at the mail centre. I had signed for the the 12 hours and 10 hours on a Saturday and 8 hours on a Sunday. I was meant to finish this morning at 6 am but was told on Friday night that my office wanted me back this morning so I couldn't work the Sunday shift. I came in this morning and I was spare and got sent out to another office. I heard today though I might be entitled to get paid for the Sunday shift that I missed because it's not my fault that I got recalled. Is there any truth in this?
