Just thought I'd get in first on this one.

Christmas next year falls on a friday so boxing day will be saturday.

Any chance RM will make it a non service day or do you reckon we will have to work it? After all Monday the 28th is the Bank Holiday for boxing day.

Wouldn't be surprised if we have to work it, supermarkets, the money grabbing b******s are opening up on boxing day this year so why would we be a special case?

Without a doubt we will be working it.
Just how easy would it be for the business to close on Easter Saturday every year. They could take a day annual leave and save a fortune. Christmas 2015 will be exactly the same

Most of us won't be working for RM by xmas 2015 so the question may be irrelevant for a lot of people.

My guess if Boxing day falls on a Saturday is that we will have the Saturday off - but the Bank Holiday on the following Monday will be a working day for us:

I've just picked that week off, on the computer Mon 28th was listed as a bank holiday and a lieu day is to be added to my leave. Whether that's just provisional or not I don't know, but I'd be surprised if we were working either Boxing Day or the Monday.
