Follow these rules and you will see an end to your lapsing and a few of your PT colleagues made up for FT.

It is all down to the individual.Stay strong and stick to your guns if you want to go home on time.I have being do 50/50 as sometimes i can do a bt more but childcare restricts me.Manager gets a bit funny but i ignore him.It is a job.End of.

if we dont complete we get forced to stay behind till our time for rest of week and i have issues with childcare on some days so i cant afford to go to time on certain days and need to get a flyer so i have to take all the walk out even if it means me not getting the time booked.
If we say we will go over our time its a full on arguement with managers and everyday staff getting bullied by DOM or someone talking to them like crap.

we have walks were they have 2 24 hour staff that dont start till 9am and only the 1st tub of mnech is thrown in frame and others leaving office as we start or if paired with a full timer they have had to throw in 2 walks while othr walks have a full timer on each walk.

it seems the part time staff are getting screwed and out office is just taking on more 24 hour staff and not making people up.

we have had about 7 full time staff leave and a few part time which was replaced by 14 24hr contracts and then there are 14 redundancies which are being replaced by 10 24hr contracts which are being advetised now.

I get pretty much every tuesday off but i guarantee that changes and next week it will be either the thurs or friday which im off anyway,i havent had a saturday off for over a year.
staff on 24 hours are just abused and the union do nothing about it.

You may well have childcare issues, it doesn't change the fact that you're screwing it up for your colleagues. The DOM is well within his/her rights to send you out with lapsing or have you do something else (and should be) to take you upto your time. When the DOM says that he/her is going to cut x hours from the office, you'll be one of the ones to blame

my point was in general in our office we get forced to take the entire walk,my childcare issues dont cause me an issue at work and if you read my post again i said
"i have to complete because later on in the week we have to stay until opur time and i need to get a flyer and finish before time(its a day im on an easier walk).
Im on 24 hours and get shafted like all other part timers and some walks are always going over and working overtime for free,yet some on walks are coming back 2 hours before there time and our management do nothing about it and just laugh when u complain.
Again the union know about this and decide to do nothing but laugh themselves.

the duty holder quicker than me and management know its an easy walk and it doenst bother them.
This is the issue at my place walks vary in upto 2 hours almost and the heavy walks just get complained too and the easy walks just get laughed at and allowed to carry on.

1 walk on my area gets minimal oversize and only preps his own walk and he out office at 9am,yet others are prepping 2 walks because partners come in at 9am(24 hour staff)
and he back office before 1pm and never books anything(bosses happy and leave him to),yet walks that are crap might go over 20 mins every day and get cmplained at and told becasue they go over they cant go before time sat and that might be there only time they migh finish 15 mins early but cant.

Management are bullys since our new DOM came last year.
