Tuesdays and Wednesdays

Tuesdays are normally light in mail and reasonable amount of parcels, and Wednesdays we are hammered with mail and more parcels.

I want to know why can't we do some of these parcels / mail on Tuesday instead as yesterday it is very easy day and today is toughest day I ever done on the walk.

The balance need re-adjusting.

it certainly does ended up having to claim an hr today whereas yesterday had to fill day with more DtoD

People sit and order things on the internet over the weekend.

Businesses post out Mon/Tue and they hit the postie Wed / Thurs. Simples.

Our Wednesday and Thursday hours are 20 minutes longer than Mon/Tues to try to compensate for the differing workloads. It's not enough though. The difference is at least 30 mins. Some days it can be an hour.

Yesterday we had Worktime Sleeping and Slouching for about 15 mins and I still got back 30 mins earlier than I did today.

MC Early Shifts: 2C, DSA, Mailsort, Outward Tracked (48)
MC Late Shifts: 1C, DSA, Mailsort, Outward Tracked(24), Outward Specials
MC Night Shifts: Inward (all 2C becomes 1C upon arrival), some Mailsort, Inward Tracked, Inward Specials

That's roughly what's done on the shifts, the DSA and Mailsort will be down to what time it arrives in the MCs

We were told recently that they were going to use the network more efficiently and that would mean a more even spread of work over the week,which seemed sensible......for Royal Mail, can't tell when it's going to occur though. Anyone know?

Well at the mc Monday evening is the busiest and Tuesday u get the 2c Dsa and 1c so Wednesday will be the busy for you
