out EARLIER in the mornings.

WTF. does she think our job gets easier when December comes round. we will be very lucky if we get out an hour later than usual not a snowballs chance in hell of getting out earlier.

Yep. That happened to me and my P&L partner this morning. Both sent out in separate vans on packets not in our areas. Mech put in last minute just before we got back.
Still finished on time though.
Just do whatever I am asked now and finish on time.

These will be hire vans. - RM can't do anything about it as many of the hire companies demand a 'minimum keep' this time of year in order to guarantee that RM get a van. Due to hire company consumer/customer demand and to maximise utilisation of the vehicle.

i.e they cannot hire it for 5 days but have to keep it for a min of 28 days.

They all do it.

Ours don't start until the 8th December. I spoke to our manager this morning about next week, as with Black Friday and payday it's quite probably going to be the busiest packet week of the year. Apparently he's managed to get 1 packet driver approved, that's between 34 walks in our section

It's ridiculous, packets are going to be left and rolled over for days at a time like last year. We can see it coming a mile off so why can't RM DOM's and area managers?

Because there is no power point slide to prove it, but more importantly they can't account for it in their Spreadsheets, ergo the problem does not exist and we are all panicking for no reason.

If you finished on time after all this' what sort of duty times do you have year round. Sounds as if you are demonstrating what the doms are saying, there is plenty of spare time there.

Yep. I finish on time. Don't want any overtime. Partner goes back out to finish. DOH!!!

Duty time finish at 14.08. He goes back out to finish at 4 ish.....

We have been told not to touch our oversized packets in our yorks as they are being done by packet drivers, Same as last year, Were finishing within time without any problems. I think i only went over by a small amount a couple of times last xmas
