Brown is useless

Post by dogfood »

From the Daily Telegraph
The ruling increases pressure on Prime Minister Gordon Brown to intervene in the increasingly fractious dispute, which is now feared to have led up to a million patients to miss doctors' appointments in addition to an estimated cost of £100million to the economy.
How the fcuk can Brown do nothing whilst the economy is hit for £100million?

Just after Brown became leader he expressed his admiration for Thatcher. Brown like Blair before him is a TORY. Every Union in the land must stop financing and distance themselves from the hypocritical sham that is New Labour.

He said Thatcher was a conviction politician - well I can think of 2 I would convict of not looking after the interests of the people and 1 for war crimes.

Brown is just like Blair, wh modelled himself after Thatcher - I was in unison until a few months ago working in a hospital and could not believe the amount of money they forked out for New Labour, who are intent on opening up the hospitals and health care to the market (just like the post!).

Even Thatcher and Major did not dare to sell off the post and the health, the only reason new Labour can get away with it is because of all the tame union leaders who would rather fall on their swords than take serious action against the government.

Totally agree. Surely we should be funding a party which supports and promotes us and which backs us during times where our working conditions are under attack from the business "leaders" who seem to be in favour with New Labour. It's obvious from comments made by Brown during the industrial action that he will never support us and has shown genuine ignorance of what caused us to strike.

My branch no longer pays into the Labour Party through the political fund, our money goes to the Scottish Socialist Party, and there is no reason why anyone who doesn't want to pay contributions to the Labour Party should. I think it's time to pressurise those with the power within the branches to withdraw its funding of Labour and to put that money towards the funding of political parties who are prepared to support and represent trade unionism. Maybe the Labour Party would take a different approach if it was threatened with the withdrawl of the CWU and other unions financial support.
Down with the blackleg, all workers unite.

Here here!

If the RMT, FBU and CWU got together and started to fund a new party that actually fought for working class interests and was democratic then we could start seeing some changes in Britain - for the better!
