Why are next weeks strikes illegal?

Apparently my mate lovejoy says its the union lawyers who made a slight mistake and desperate RM used it in the courts.
It was probably very trivial!!!!

Royal Mail argued that the union had not given accurate figures for the number of staff affected by the strike, a legal requirement.

If this has just come to light then does this only affect this weeks strike, or was it always the case that RM never bothered to check the small print?
Just goes to show how shallow and desperate they have become, cos they know we are winning by a mile!!!!!

The High Court has ordered a halt to next week's planned postal strike.

The court granted Royal Mail an injunction halting Monday's official strike by up to 130,000 Communication Workers' Union members on the grounds of an irregularity in the strike notice.

Royal Mail says the irregularity in the way the strike notice was issued makes the action illegal but the union insisted the strike was legitimate because it fully complied with the law.

Im led to believe its only monday and tuesday strikes that are off.

Me, like you all, are strapped for cash, but i would gladly take two fookin days off next wee, just to get it right up em like.

Don't get me wrong I'd walk out now . I've had enough not just the national stuff but in our office it's hell I've never seen so many people demoralised. Bully boy manager just left to intimidate everyone. We've all stopped doing o/t and today they tried to get the union rep to tell everyone to start again cos they threatened him with the sack by saying someone had signed a letter to say he'd told everyone to stop doing it. :lfo

As I understand it, it's only Monday night = MC's. The rest of the week still stands. With the current state of the backlog one lost night won't make a lot of difference.
