Is it normal for a delivery office to be unattended while posties are still out on deliveries, I mean senior people have gone home?

Could this be brought up with the DOM citing lack of security?

They (RM) are always banging on about it, wear your ID, challenge people without ID etc...

Normal in my office...Breakdown number in back of log book 0800 costs a fortune on mobiles.
