Every other packet seems to be Amazon again. Are their couriers struggling already?

we've had it back for ages now, but have seen a few people out delivering there stuff also, leaving things like dads/books on doorsteps as usual, are they scared of letter boxes or something? or not allowed to post through it?

I posted quite a while ago that Amazon are back from November 17th everything will need to be scanned on the doorstep when delivered, but no signatures will be required on the majority of items.

they won't need scanning into the DO as they are scanned out of the amazon warehouses to let the customer know that their item(s) are on their way.

Don't think it's so much they have come crawling, its in there best interest use multiple company's. I have prime on Amazon and get most my stuff delivered by Amazon themselves but anything is not guaranteed tends to come normal RM as its cheaper to use. They have RM jumping through hoops to get them back, their standard now is doorstep scanned (as their refund policy is to replace a lost item straight away with very few questions)which RM is bending over backwards to do for them.

If RM can get a decent setup where all Amazon parcels are scanned on delivery and uploaded real time then i believe it would be a major income boost. All amazon want is to get their items delivered ontime, scanned on delivery (we don't do this yet as a whole) and for a decent price. If they get that they don't care who delivers it.

It's been a bout 10 days now in our office. Throughout the whole of summer I delivered about 10 amazon and now it is closer to 10 per day.
iirc last year it was the mid/late November when Amazon packets really took off so it seems their own capacity for delivery is very low.

Yep, and the size of them! Not only that but we have to scan them all and our PDAs are packing up as it is. S##t is really gonna hit the fan big time this xmas!

Has the scanning of Amazon items started anywhere yet? Think it was due to start in the trial areas this week, any news?

Hope amazon pay rm a decent price for our service , what with prime , we have to deliver it next day , do they pay up to special delivery rate?? I doubt it . (in my pic are the dads left on doorstep by the way)

As others have already said.. Amazon have never really gone away, they've just been using a number of different people competing against each other to do the same job in order to establish who is the most efficient, funnily enough it was a method also used by Hitler.
