Endorse the mail as Undeliverable/abusive customer. It is up to your manager to deal with it -your health and safety is paramount, apparently....

Refuse to deliver his mail until your manager has been out to see him, any more trouble and he'll have to come and collect his mail from the office.

Got the same here..... I've had customers threaten to stab me, find out where I live etc etc yet talking to the DIM gets me no further than a "call the police" brush off

I've had councilling after a customer 'complained' I'd raised my voice and the DIM threat that "threatening & improper behavior" could consistute Gross Misconduct and the sack!

Remember RM don't give a toss about us!

Report anything like this straight to your rep. Get the H&S rep to endorse the address as threatening and abusive.

just told him to button it or else, he'd flagged the cop down after his dog went at me in the street and he took offence that i didn't let it bite me, by way of a size 10 boot.
cops & manager did nothing in my case, in fact my manager 1st said it was nothing to royal mail and up to me to report it to the police

Sounds like you need to be with a manager like that. Go to your rep asap.

You need to get this incident reported through the correct channels because things like this tend to reoccur and without a record of the advents you may find yourself in trouble.

Sounds like you need to be with a manager like that. Go to your rep asap.

this was a few years ago, union rep did get it reported, policeman there sided with and told bloke he was in the wrong at the time as his dog was loose on the street but wouldn't take it any further,
my manager wrote to him to say they won't get mail delivered until he can control his dog and gave him a free redirect to where they work!
