We were asked to commit to completing our walks everyday over Christmas and in return any extended delivery time would be paid at SA rate. I think they were disappointed with the answer they got

Came round ours with predicted traffic figures and " acceptable " O/T figures , they seemed rather surprised when told to " fu...... go away ".

Our Dom wants to take 200 hrs out the office at Xmas ,I can't remember the response as there was to much laughing going on

As I remember, last year one of the guys said He would complete over Christmas and then didnt got grief from a manager.He said no chance this year.One of the passengers on P and Loop said yes and then His driver went and said no lol .Is there any benefit in postman saying Yes to this??

We have MC work sent to our office at Christmas for staff to do on OT at night. There's a sign up saying if you sign up for any nights then you have to be willing to complete your delivery the day after I know they couldn't force anyone to do that, but what they could do is refuse them OT on nights if they're not willing to do it on the walk.

With the amount of packets we had last year, cutting off most days, I can easily see people doing 16-18hr shifts if they do a night then complete their walks too. No thanks!

Try that every year at ours,"within reason" is what they get back,if you tick YES then they will hound you if personal situations means you cannot commit to that particular day,tick NO & they will hound you,until you break,or go sick with stress,& then they move onto another poor soul

at ours they keep saying you are required to do the duty/walk in a reasonable amount of time, but won't tell you what that reasonable amount is.

Also they are changing are working hours from 630-1430 to 530 starts - can they do this?
There was a mockery of a vote cast and some of the old gits want to do it but I do things with my evenings I don't go to bed at 9!

After 27yrs I can honestly say I have never been more dissolutioned with Royal Mail. I will be cutting and finishing on time, and taking my days off this year

Cutting off ,bollocks to em,my answer will be theres some spare bags over there ENJOY!! Slogged my arse off all year so xmas its work to time other than the odd 20 mins here and there
