sick absence

hi, im a little confused on the sick absence procedure.

could someone please explain to me how the stage 1 works. If i am off 4 days does that count as 4 absences and will i then be given a stage 1 warning?
im a little puzzled at this

no its 1 absence and counts as 4 days, youre allowed up to 3 separate absences or 14 days total a year before a stage 1 ( i think .. its very close to that but someone may be able to confirm)

you are allowed 4 absences or 14 days before a stage 1 prompt would be considered.
There is also within the attendance procedure informal interviews if your absences are giving a concern to management before a stage 1 is issued.
The issuing of a stage 1 is not mandatory and is at the discretion of the interviewing manager if mitigating circumstances can be provided.
