Are you having a resign because of a revision ? Correct me if I'm wrong but if your duty remains unchanged it doesn't have to be included in the resign

If it's been adjusted to fit DDA then only another DDA could apply otherwise an AB person would be doing a lighter duty. Consequently that duty must have been realigned to fit the office profile and would then be liable to change.

Surely the reasonable adjustments cover the person not the duty, what if it became defunct or part of a revision and had to be changed? And how disabled do you have to be, I'm more disabled than you.

You would have thought so but many are just pandering up to another poster on here who thinks that everybody who has an adjusted duty must be on the make.
Royal Mail managers.....about as popular as a t.urd in a swimming pool!
The DDA/Equality Act demands action,NOT words......adjustments NOT Occupational Health referrals.Case No:2505901/09

If you are covered by the equality act the duty should be be planned in the planning stage then ring fenced from the duty re pick

If the duty has remained the same and it has been tailored to fit the DDA circumstances it shouldn't be in the repick. If it has been substantially changed then there should be a reasonable circumstance as to why it has been changed AND another duty would have to be raised to fit the disability. As the CWU is supposed to be involved in all stages then the duty should have been highlighted at the outset of the revision. I'd be interested to know what the unions take on the situation is.

Call the Royal Mail disability help line,we had a similar situation, spoke to the helpline they asked if we would like them to speak to the manager concerned to let him know what procedure he should follow, after they spoke to him he had to change what he had planned which was similar to what your manager wants to do.
