Hi folks.
I have been given a conditional offer of a postman job with royal mail. It is conditional upon pre employment security checks.
Can someone please tell me what these checks are?

Donnntttt door it better jobs out there. But the checks include everything on you . No convictions etc

I've got 1 conviction for Breach of the peace way back in 2006 which would now be regarded as spent. Would that be a problem for me?

i would expect to see you are of good character with no dishonesty or violent prison terms recorded against you

Mine took about 2 or 3 months to go through that stage. The manager who interviewed me had left the company since, and apparently they had to find him and get him to confirm he'd interviewed me before they could give me the job. Doesn't always mean they're doing the CRB, could be someone's lost a form or just taking their time, so it can take months if you're unlucky.
