Given the range of important issues that we need to discuss and debate it is necessary to opt for the two day format.

A detailed agenda supported with a communications pack on the issues to be discussed will be sent out in advance of the briefing. In the meantime, provisionally the two day session will cover the following:-

A comprehensive report on all competition issues and current market dynamics.

The proposed National Joint Statement on Growth, Efficiency and Incentives.

Post Box strategy.

A comprehensive update from all National Officers on the Programme of Work arising from the Agenda for Growth, Stability and Long Term Success Agreement.

The normal travel and release arrangements will apply and given the importance of the agenda we would strongly encourage Branches to ensure they take up their full complement of attendees. Further information will be sent out in due course.

Yours sincerely

North Circus Street seems appropriate for all the clowns that will be attending. :thumbup

"the importance of the agenda" is a euphemism for 'the catastrophic severity of what we'll be agreeing to on your behalf'.

Aren't we rich?
Our bonuses paid?
Members alone in the dark,
Union men made.
Send in the clowns.

Isn't it s**t?
Performance improve?
One who keeps tearing around,
One who can't move.
Where are the clowns?
Send in the clowns.

You just can't stop knocking on doors,
Finally knowing the one where you started is where you will end,
Writing that card out again with my usual glare,
Knew all along,
No one is there.

Don't you love farce?
Our fault It's real.
I thought that they'd want what we want.
Sorry, no deal.
But where are the clowns?
Quick, send in the clowns.
Don't bother, they're here......
good times, bad times you know I've had my share

I think that is as close to perfection as we'll ever get on RMC.

I love the fact that the line about "one who keeps tearing round and one who can't move" is actually the original lyrics.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

CWU > Ok then, we will agree to this.
