Manager withholding overtime
I did overtime in another office 3 weeks ago however my manager is refusing to pay me untill the other office can prove they have input it into the rcs so he doesn't have to pay out his budget, however the other office isn't sending the proof(a screen ahot of the rcs) is it fair that I have to wait for him to get his proof that it's been put on?
Do I have a case for grevance.

Yes, overtime should be paid in the week following which it was done.

Hmmmm isn't the manager right in this instance!
Overtime done elsewhere has to be given by the office it's done in(I guess that's the rcs thing),so it doesn't come out of the wrong office's budget.
Need to kick/grievance the knobs at the office you done to docket in me thinks.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Re: Manager withholding overtime
Yes, as long as you notified manager that you were going to go over and you have his agreement, and you have booked the overtime, it is then management responsibility to ensure you are paid your overtime in the time period laid down.

I do not think you have a case for grievance. The office you did the overtime in should should have payed you as they in put your pay No into the PSP system from that office ( if you signed the ot form in that office, your name and your full pay number 8 numbers ie 105 34534)

No my manager had to pay and claim the money back the reason he is not paying is because the hours haven't been transferred yet, im not on the other offices psp.

Yes!!!!!
However he is staying he won't pay untill he's satisfied that they have input into there rcs.
My argument is he should pay me and claim the money back later.

Re: Manager withholding overtime
To take a screenshot of the RCS takes seconds
besides if they haven't input into their RCS it should be apparent already - did your manager have a sunrise gap for that week??
If not then they haven't input it - if he did it's because they did and he hasn't paid it
Either way I think you need to put this in writing to his boss or you could ask moya
