What is the end game: working staff to the bone.

In several local offices I have worked in, staff levels are low, sick levels through the roof.
Impossible to get time off.
All staff working pretty much to rule.
Yet, still, the staff who have a little bit of pride left in the job are being harrassed, watched like a hawk, followed round their duties by managers waiting to pounce on you for the slightest mistake. Getting accused of things you haven't done then just before your interview they change their mind. I just don't get it.

It's planned harassment,so staff leave for nothing... instead of paying out redundancy.It's part of managed decline.

The end game is simple they do not want any full time staff. They want to take advantage of people desparate for money who will work on temporary and part time contracts and do loads of overtime. Goodbye public service, hello capitalism.

The top bods are bludgeoning the workforce to make personal profit and vast sums for institutional shareholders. That is all that matters. Service to the customers? Concern for the workforce? Who gives a s about that in senior management? It's all about the ME people gorging themselves on the executive gravy train. You ache, suffer, get disabilities, die. So what? The end game is the ME people get rich. You earn it for them. To the people who don't get that - Do carry on working for nothing, skipping breaks, coming in early for no pay, and run run run run run.

Minimum wage is ok if you have a full time 40 hour contract not so good if you have a zero hours contract on a temporary basis only some conceited idiot would write this!

and only someone who either did not read clash's post, or has a problem comprehending simple english would respond in such a fashion.

He did not say minimum wage is good - he said How would they be working for nothing it we have a minimum wage.
