RM state 94% customers want delivery to neighbours

I cant believe those figures stated at WTL today, like to know where they supposedly got these figures from.
Question is HOW MANY of these neighbours want you banging on their doors to take these parcels every day?
I have people on my round now who are getting p*ssed off with being knocked up by RM and all the other Courier firms and have put notes on their doors saying " We don't take parcels for neighbours"
Some people say that they have been already asked more than once already that day and it doesn't help that we are later delivering than other parcel firms.
I've also noticed now that Courier drivers are just doorstepping or putting parcels over the fence more than before just to get rid of them to get paid per item.

Our DOM & regional manager came out with us last week as we were bringing too many packets back. It was hilarious watching them try to get rid of packets to no avail. They both gave up halfway through our delivery! Least they don't hound us anymore. God knows why the union has agreed to this garbage anyway!

Our DIM loves coming out on delivery. He uses himself as a shining example. Thinks its GREAT going out for an hour with a couple of small bags on a LWT. Yes, he does an hour and thinks he's now an expert.

oppo was at an house with a S.D as i was nearly there with mail, his son lives across the road and i'd got 2 recorded items for him, rarely in so i always take them straight to his mam/dads,
whilst oppo was clicking "back" on his pda to scan other items all together he was moaning about the time and he was in a rush

Yep, had that,ignored it like I do the rest of the drivel they come out with. The only reason they want you to bring less stuff back , is : less brought back =less indoor work, = less jobs. As previous posters have said, if they ain't in, they get a card. Protects me and oddly the company too.

Funnily enough that is the target for the DSM/DOM to get their bonus which is funny as we get f**k all for the leg work and sore knuckles where's my bonus!

Civvy GPS isn't accurate to those levels in built up areas,to introduce some thing that accurate they would have to get surveyor grade kit and that is seriously expensive and wouldn't be suitable for our job.

Most of these people that order these tracked items get notifications via E Mail or text telling them the item is in a particular mail/distribution centre then the next notification they get is "Its out for delivery today" so they know full well its coming that day but choose to ignore the fact so tough either be in or make arrangements instead of messin the postie about.

I like delivering to neighbours. It is what most people want - fact. Even most (not all) of the neighbours as they get parcels too. If you go over because of it and other things (the usual comprehensive underestimation of how long Royal Mail work takes), claim the time or cut off.
