In our do two have heart valve problems five off with bad backs two off with hip problems now this is why we should use trolleys and how fcuked we will all be soon with these rounds

Christmas is going to be an utter disaster at our DO. The continuous grinding down of the workforce these previous 10 months, will ensure there is record absenteeism, and that coupled with the amount of walking wounded on light duties, means that total Meltdown gets ever nearer.

Join the bosses to do nothing at all after 9am , play on the pc all day , goto pub Every friday morning , And get bonuses and a bigger wage!
Me I can't believe it , why don't the shareholders get them monitored. RIP RM they'll have to employ the Polish soon because no-one else wants the jobs.

Same here,used one the other day for only the second time , couldn't believe how cumbersome and useless for the job, the thing was , never again.

I find using them relaxing,ok they take longer but thats not my problem,only negative is the fact that you take bigger packets and that gives the driver more time to play with his phone or eat his snap,a few will come and help once they have done the big packets,but a lot won't

Used a HCT for years as did the rest of my old office (60 posties) and never had a problem with them.

In some of the crime ridden areas where we deliver some of the thieves would literally nick a car's wheels whilst they are still moving

In one area, a gang of them attacked a postal driver and nicked all his specials....



So you can guess whats gonna happen to your trolley!!

So how do you deliver in these areas?
Obviously you can't use vans because they would literally nick the wheels as the van is moving and a postie with a bag would be an even easier target.
So how do deliveries get done?

Well, ive had few mirrors pulled off, the odd flat tyre on the van. But ive been quite lucky

But most of us deliver with the bag on the back because the mail is more secure sometimes than pulling a trolley. Sometimes, we have to try and break the loops down to try and deliver this way; others we just cannot and have to use trolleys. Theres no way round it. But i hate delivering when the kids are off sometimes

What do you mean soon? already RM has a large number of Polish staff of all grades and from what I hear they do a very good job.

Our place exactly the same...sat just gone 8rounds to cover!!! We had to do our usual 2rounds in van the each pair take half of another walk!!! My feet are getting worse by the day....royal mail don't give a shite about our health...just budgets profits bonuses
