Help with attendance procedure please.

Hi,

going by the attendance agreement:

Attendance review 1 prompt - 4 absences or 14 days in a 12 month period.

If you were off sick say for example, 12th January for 7 days, middle of July for 3 days, then trigger the 'review 1' by going off sick for a week in December (16 days in total), when would the 'review 1' be wiped from your record? thanks

The years' anniversary of return from the first absence i.e. 19th. January next if the year is a 'rolling' period.

yeah, so as i thought, its a 'rolling' 12 month period as you say. so it could be possible to go 'on' then 'off' 1st stage several times in a year, or skirt close to it it.

It's RM's computer system hat triggers the reviews as they auto-flag any excesses over the 3 absence/14-days threshold in any 12 month period.
Your DIM simply gets an e-mail notification and then pulls you in.

Normally its from the date of the warning, although in some circumstances the warning can be backdated by a good rep.

Actually as far as I am aware that hasn't been tested yet. There is nothing specific in the new procedure either ruling it out, or confirming it can be done.

I have tested the system and others in my mail centre and after the review has cleared people have been on sick but not triggered the review for the same absent twice hope that helps and been told by my reps that an absent cant be used for 2 reviews even if with in 12 months

yeah, thats my take on it, i reckon.

say, if you are off sick in January, April, July, September, then trigger a 1st stage. That 1st stage runs for 6 months until March the next year. If you are off sick again straight away, you WILL have been off 4 times in a year, but the 3 from the previous year (April July and September) will have been used to give you the 1st stage, so are now spent.

Sound about right?

If you trigger a stage warning, but subsequently prove that you weren't off sick for the times they say you were (admin error ). Can you phone up someone (HR, for instance) to check if your attendance record has been duly corrected? ta

No. Specifically for that reason its a no.

However, if you raised an access request through the Data Protection Act, then I would have thought this information would come as part of the data.

As to the Admin error any issue like this will certainly help in a Stage 3 RTU or at an subsequent ET.
