Walkout

yesterday there was a walkout by the postmen at a north western office for 3 hours approx after management moved staff out of the office and then tried to lapse there walks...the staff we heard from rumours were temp and reserves.

we heard when our d.o.m was 1 of a few d.o.m`s called away to go and help with deliveries

the man in charge in this office has upset a few offices on his travels not just as a d.o.m but in other roles.

This happens often at my DO. If there is time for the lapsed wlks to be completed then theres not much you can do. There is a clause in part timers contracts that they can be moved to other offices as and when needed. Not so sure about reserves with a proper reserve cover duty.

As usual the idiots that come in half hour early or more really dont help the siyuation but it seems they will never learn.

Its not just Part Timers contracts, its in everyones contract even the managers since at least 2004 when I got mine.
