forgotton about my grievance

i put in a grievance over a month ago now and ive heard nothing. when I asked my manager about it he says nothing. I know hes just trying to stall it and when I asked my rep he didn't really have much to say. i still work for royal mail but im considering taking them to an employment trib but i guess first i have to go through all the levels and i know it will get to stage 3 and not the outcome i want. what should i do?

I would suggest writing to your manager giving him 7 days to arrange a meeting, stating failure to do so will result in you escalating the grievance to Stage 2 level...

You are quite right that you have to follow the business internal procedures if you wish to raise an ET claim. Be aware that you have to raise an ET claim within a certain timescale. You can do this while the grievance procedure is on-going. RM have a habit of ignoring grievances so your complaint cannot be heard at an ET...

Email Moya Greene at Just Say It and inform her that your manager is failing to comply with Royal Mail procedures in respect of the grievance you have placed. I think you may get an hearing sorted out pretty quickly.

You technically don't if you resign and claim constructive/unfair dismissal.
But et will ask why you didn't follow all available avenues first and try to resolve,basically et is regarded as last port of call.

Do a Shawshank and keep asking politely in writing and start with lino-dom,DSM,then region,then he,then moya.

Do the same with union.when they see persistence they may take you seriously.

A month is more than sufficient to wait for a response to your grievance.
If the shoe was on the other foot the same manager wanted a response to a FF , conduct meeting or attendance review he certainly wouldn't be waiting a month for a reply from you.
I trust you have kept a copy of the 1st stage grievance and have evidence that this was received by him.
Time to go to 2nd stage individual grievance.

yes I have my original grievance which is signed and dated by my rep. I also have the confirmation letter which came from HQ at pond street. if I go stage 2 do I have to ask for a stage 2 grievance form. I think I might write a nice letter just to remind them of it.

Yeah thats exactly what happened to me...and my case took over 2 years. Union rep never mentioned ET timescales until I received the decision so couldn't appeal

yes raikky you will need to request a 2nd stage grievance form.
Would ask this form from the manager who has yet to reply to your 1st stage grievance.
