Leaving Penalty
Does anyone know - if you take all your annual leave in the first half of the year and then leave, can Royal Mail claw money back off you?

If a worker has taken more leave than they’re entitled to, their employer must not take money from their final pay unless it’s been agreed beforehand in writing.
You need to read your contract, there will be something in there about it.

The annual leave year is from 1st April to 31st March next year. Depending on when you leave you are entitled to a proportion of your annual leave which is calculated as a fraction of the days worked from 1st April. So if you are entitled to 6 weeks annual leave and you go 26 weeks after 1st April you are entitled to half of 6 weeks = 3 weeks. If you have already taken all your annual leave Royal Mail will claw back the cost of the 3 weeks which you are not entitled to.
