HOW TO BECOME A UNION REP

How can I go about getting involved in the union , fed up of being a victim of management bullying and seeing others go through it too ,I want to learn more on the guide lines and rules on work to rule etc , im having to argue everyday due to me using my trolley and taking my break ,starting on time and not wanting to work over just like in any other work place,

Do you want to replace your current rep or do you want to fill the vacancy?
Either way contact your Branch and they will advise you.
They will also arrange your training in the event of you becoming a rep.

Good luck with your application Holly.. Go in with your eyes wide open though, it is not about improving your own personal working conditions though, it is trying to improve everyone's working conditions. Having the knowledge to stand firm sets an example for all to see, but getting them to follow is a different thing altogether. Give it a good go though.
