Done the cards to highlight the shabby state of our boxes months ago, nothings been done still a shabby disgrace, the public must wonder if some get cleared ever, I guess there's a manager in charge that and not being account able in doing something about it? I give up !

Pillar boxes. You send a card off to Chesterfield (or somewhere) and the boxes are meant to get repainted. In my experience it's a bit hit or miss - I've sent four cards off and only one box has been painted.

A few of our boxes don't have any of the metal tabs to say what day the next collection will be, so it looks like they are out of action, no wonder they hardly ever have any mail in!

Look at the Royal Mail miniature sheet of 2009 http://gbstamp.co.uk/article/post-boxes ... 09-19.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and the third stamp (81p) features an 1896 Victorian Lamp Box which can be found in Hythe, Kent and is seriously rusty.
If they can't get one in decent condition for a postage stamp, what chance for the other 100,000 or so ?

A few months down the line, and not a dab of red paint to be seen in any post boxes, no surprise there then!! What a waste of time that was !!

You can also " report " it via the PDA , I've just done a few rural boxes.

Not holding out for any action though , still at least the complacency is laid at somebody else's door.
