What if they / him..whoever 'in charge' of an independent Scotland thought it's really not worth it, or the hassle and then RM thought with all those highland n Islands being a bit if a nuisance to deliver to, now we are a private company we will sell of all the Scotland side of business to whoever...

if Scotland was independent then RM wouldnt be obliged under the USO to deliver these places anymore (im guessing) theyd save a fortune

No it would not be Orange.. they would not touch it with a bargepole, there is no profit at all in the universal delivery..Scotland is a subsidized burden for Royal mail.

It is possible that RM could sell of Scotland's portion of RM to asset management companies who then simply keep the most profitable areas, close the rest down and sell of the land and buildings to construction for housing...(though whether anyone in Scotland could afford to buy/rent them is a different matter when the McPound takes a nose dive and nobody can get a loan as they have no jobs and Slimey Salmond has got his facts and figures all wrong and can't give anyone any dole money to help either...I am sure the Scots have heard of the term 'Unintended Consequences' ..?..
