POLITICAL FUND BALLOT : NATIONAL CAMPAIGN EVENT

Post by TrueBlueTerrier »

No. 565/14
Ref: GS14.24
Date: 9th September 2014

To: All Branches

Dear Colleagues

POLITICAL FUND BALLOT : NATIONAL CAMPAIGN EVENT

Ballot papers for the Political Fund ballot will be despatched on 6th October 2014.   As part of the campaign to build the Yes vote, a national campaign event will be held on:

Friday 19th September 2014 from 10.30am to 3.00pm

The event will be held in the conference room at TUC CONGRESS HOUSE, London.  (nearest tube station: Tottenham Court Road).

Regional officials, political fund ballot steering groups and Branches are invited to send delegates.  This should include Branch Secretaries and Political Officers but branches may bring additional delegates.

The event will include a briefing of national campaign activity and why a Yes vote is crucial.  This will be followed by a discussion of how branches can maximise the turnout and Yes vote.

Please make every effort to ensure your branch is represented.

Any enquiries on this LTB should be forwarded to the General Secretary’s Office at gsoffice@cwu.org quoting reference GS14.24/LTB 565/14.

Yours sincerely

W HAYES
General Secretary

We should all vote yes. This is the money the CWU use for lobbying ( eg dangerous dogs campaign ) & not our political donations to the Labour party I believe .

What good does supporting the labour party do? Is it just like an entry fee for the glitterati to be invited to dinners and functions and appear to be important because it certainly doesn't appear to be of any benefit to the members as a whole.
