late starts

I am so fed up our start times have been put back yet again today I started 6.50 am my old start time for a Monday was 6.30 am,all the mail was in the office for 6 am ,nobody in to sort it,what a joke,i am full time ,my question is can I start 30 mins early each day and bring my finish time forward 30 mins,so when I get in to work I can put my sequenced mail in etc and then go onto ips,i will be out on delivery earlier thus saving time = less overtime,im just so fed up of finishing late afternoon,its a complete joke starting later and finishing later customers still want there mail at a reasonable time.

The very obvious reason for the change is that management are banking on people coming in early because the mail is there to work with, in the hope that they might get to finish early. You will then be told that you have to work to your official finish time and if you might finish early there will be more lapsing or increases on your own walk to deal with. Call their bluff - go in on time and finish on time - give them nothing and expect nothing.

The mail might well have all been in the office by 6am on monday but what about the rest of the week? The mail is always in early on monday because it is processed on sunday day shift rather than night shift like it is the rest of the week

Hmmm in 30 minutes I could jump on the mrs that would be 3 minutes gone then a nap obviously so that would be my 30 minutes............

What exactly is going on with a lot of posties around 1 -2.30pm; what are they rushing home to do?

come on you lot get real. My wifes home from work at 1.30pm she is worth getting home for,we have a chat ask how our wonderful days have been ,have a brew,test the bed springs out on the bed,comedown stairs watch the first 10 minutes of dickensons real deal,then go to school to pick the kids up, sorted.
