Dear Colleagues,

Mr. John Hodson - Leeds No. 1 Branch and Former Member of the CWU Retired Members Advisory Committee

We have recently been advised of the sad death of John Hodson, longstanding member of the Leeds No. 1 Branch and former member of the union's Retired Members Advisory Committee. Our deepest condolences are conveyed to John's Family and friends.

John held many positions over his 53 years as a member of the CWU - including Delivery Office rep, Branch Organiser, Branch President, District Organiser and Royal Mail Divisional Rep.

Following retirement John continued his union involvement and became Chairperson of North East Regional Retired Members Committee. He also represented retired members nationally when he was elected to serve on the Retired Members Advisory Committee (RMAC).

The Funeral will take place on Wednesday the 3rd of September at 1.40 pm. The details are as follows:-

There will be refreshments and a celebration of John's life afterwards at The Whistle Stop Pub, Town Street, Beeston, Leeds, LS11 8DG
