Please help?

Hi everyone, I bought something from superdrug on Thursday 14 at 13:30, it said it would take 3-5 working days to arrive, I got an email at 8 the next morning to say the item had been dispatched and I could track in via Royal Mail, when I type in the tracking number it says

Status: Please come back later
We have been notified that your item is being shipped by the retailer; the next scan will appear when we receive this item.

Does this mean Royal Mail hasn't received the item yet? I have an appointment tomorrow at the time my postman comes so I was going to cancel it but if my item won't arrive tomorrow I won't. So is this a fault with Royal Mail tracking which I've been told it could be or despite the fact it was posted at 8 on Friday throughout Friday and Saturday both working days for postmen it still hasn't arrived? Please help

thanks, i got an email saying it was dispatched which is what confused me, when i check the tracker it says Pre-advice Received so does that mean royal mail haven't got the package yet? Probably get it tomorrow and delver it later in the week?

If you supply your mobile no to retailer they always email and text you when it's going to be delivered . And post man can try to delivered to neighbour as we'll.

Dispatched means put in a pile awaiting collection by Royal Mail

The pre-advice is just that. The company sending the item have allocated a tracking number but that number has not yet been scanned by Royal Mail.

Keep an eye on this site http://www.royalmail.com/trackdetails" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; with shows each tracking point. It updates as the scan is uploaded to RM servers so although not live (the PDA scanners on deliveries run on the Vodafone network) it will update as an when the PDA downloads.

If its a tracked check neighbours either side and opposite havent got it

thanks i think that solves it, hopefully get it on tuesday i thought dispatched meant with royal mail so thanks for your help
