Spanish practices

Post by buzzer »

Is it right for Crozier to talk about Spanish practices? Isn't that being prejudiced? Some Spanish people might take offense at that remark.

Apparently a Radio station in barcelona rang the CWU and complained and there is, apparently, an official complaint from the Spanish Embassy.

Image for Royal Mail methinks.

Hehe, I emailed the Spanish Embassy last night and complained that I thought Croziers remarks were a direct insult to the hard working Spanish people. I urged them to complain to the highest level. Not heard anything back though

Here's one Spaniard whose practices are worth looking at:

"It is we the workers who built these palaces and cities here in Spain and in America and everywhere. We, the workers, can build others to take their place. And better ones! We are not in the least afraid of ruins. We are going to inherit the earth; there is not the slightest doubt about that. The bourgeoisie might blast and ruin its own world before it leaves the stage of history. We carry a new world here, in our hearts. That world is growing this minute."

Buenavetura Durruti. CNT/FAI

While in Madrid about ten years ago the local postman took an unusual form of I/A. Their complaint was at the lack of air conditioning in their office during a heatwave. The I/A that they took was to take all the sorting fittings out onto the street, they then stripped naked and started sorting the mail.

Gee thats shown them... Delivering 2 days mail in 1 day... why do we bother striking? Thought that was impressive until I heard the one about the the postman who delivered 5days mail for 1days money, I bet your manager is well impressed with you and your bloody jokes! Oh and btw you don't just bring it on yourself you bring it on us all!

Chin up!
Remember, the way you do you job will affect colleagues for years to come - if you cut corners to do it quick, they will be expected to as well....and then RM will add extra work to fill the gaps.
