So ... Amazon called today with a package for me and the driver asked if I would mind taking two packages for neighbours who weren't in. No problem, one family were friends of ours and the other was quite close by but unknown to me. I signed for the items and asked him if he would put a card in to let them know where the items were - I wasn't going out anywhere today so was happy to hold them until they came round. It's just past nine thirty pm now and I have just returned from delivering the packages to two people who had had no notification other than emails to say that their items could not be delivered. They were grateful to me but not too happy with Amazon .... and neither am I

I won't be helping him out again !!!!

One of the courier drivers that delivers in her car, broke down yesterday with an estate car full of parcels. I did have a little smile as she had all her parcels strewn out on the side of the road waiting for someone to relieve her of them. This is the same woman that often has her baby grandchild strapped in on the front seat while she is doing her deliveries.

the crazy bint up our way delivers her parcels from a little fiesta crammed with parcels and a small child, she leaves the door open keys in and engine running while she is at a door some 20 meters or so away.....just a matter of time before the obvious happens.

Come on rhino, don't get old and grumpy, you've got more time to be helpful to your neighbours now. The Amazon guy just helped you to get to know some of your neighbours. They might do the same for you one day.

Look at it from another perspective, she is a young mother trying to make ends meet and is exploited by courier companies for pennies per parcel and using her own car at nil cost to the courier company, I have more sympathy for her than the company trying to drive down unit cost to the minimum.
