Absorption

This week we have collapsed a 3rd walk and shared amongst delivery staff.
However... It hasn't been distributed fairly! On average, it is 15-20 mins extra on top of your round but some of the favourites have been given not even 10 minutes worth of work. There is one lass who has been given 45 minutes of absorption as the collapsed walk is near her round. Current round is still bigger than walks of DOMS favourites or who take the 15-20 mins absorption. How is that fair?
No one will say anything as it doesn't affect them! Any advice?

Is the one getting 45 minutes worth having to cut off ? If so, THEN its a problem
People, just work your contracted hours at a fair pace, and stop worrying so much about how "easy" others have got it.

Before that happens they have been round asking for OT cover. We always hear who's knocked it. 3 abs wake your area rep up, as your office rep aint cutting it.

I'm going to guess that the one with most comes in early,no break,d2d in their own time,no trolley..... So on and so on. Could be wrong though

roughly middle of september, but it depends on what local agreements offices came to, depending on how many extra leave slots were opened up and how long for, remember summer lapsing is not used for covering absence just to allow extra leave, the part that allows absorption all year round(mail levels depending) is from a different part of the agreement

No they can't.. Under no circumstance can they absorb to cover staff shortage. National agreement, I know they do/try... but they can't. It has to be covered on OT or the managers get their trainers on.

They have been told in certain offices not to go out on delivery. Naming no names,cut offs, etc just sit there until it goes out later in the week, usually the following Monday! As for not using lapsing for covering staff shortages, really? Really?
