door 2 doors - boxed in before or after your letters/flats?

We have 8 D2D this week meaning some slots have 16 leaflets in 'em before we even start with mech mail. Manager used to say D2D should be boxed in first but has now changed his tune and says they should go in last. Is there a rule for this?

in our DO, we have the first 15 minutes of our duty time to box in our D2D's for that day, then we go onto IPS / PT frame prep etc.

there is no hard and fast rule as far as I know. But at the end of the day you have got 7hr 48m to do your duty, and if doing it the way your dom wants it done makes that not possible, then thats his problem to sort it out.

D2D's vary wildly, clearly, across the UK. Out in the sticks (presumably) I had none this week and one last week! The last three months or so they have been pretty slack.

Put some in before on Monday, a few after bundling up, then same again Tuesday to finish. The official policy is of course a sixth a day.

I'm saying your wasting time prepping them into your frame when you don't have to put them in the frame.Take them out separate and carry at the back of your bundle it's far easier

Putting d2d in the frame leads to missorts as letters end up getting stuck in the leaflets and getting delivered to the wrong addresses.So I'll stick to delivering them from back of bundle

You are supposed to have time to put them in each slot in your frame, this makes it easier for new starts to know which doors the D2D goes, if you dont have time tell DOM,then you will have to leave part of walk thats what i do.

in our office their seems to be a split half walks get 1 or no d2d the rest get 5-7 yet we have no more time on frame , are we supposed to as we spend about 2 hours a week prepping them yet others spend no time or maybe half hour this has been happening for months yet he complains when we claim docket but when you explain d2d situation he says it makes no difference?! yet we still have same time on ips as walks with less d2d is this right?
